The Southern Guard Living History Association is dedicated to the education of both ourselves and the general public on the subject of America's Civil War. Members of the SGLHA spend endless hours in local historical societies, museums, special collections, and the National Archives studying this amazing subject.
The SGLHA also counts among its friends some of the foremost authorities in Civil War research... material culture, social history, battlefield strategy and tactics, and genealogical research.
We hope that this section of our website is found to be useful to both the other living historians and anyone who is interested in learning about our nation's greatest struggle.
The "Articles" section of this site contains articles written by members of the SGLHA.
The "Mulitmedia" section of the site contains unique ways of presenting history. We hope it can be used in homes and schools by people of all ages.
The "Our Impressions" section shows various uniforms and equipment as used by different sides, branches, and armies during the war.
The "Links" section contains URLs for other websites that we have found useful to us.
