Guidelines
Brian Merrick,
Kara Bartel coordinators,

Impressions: Several people will be
asked to portray certain impressions
(Tailor, Photographer, Tavern/Inn keeper,
ect) Some male civilians will be working
on the porch on house #1.
Bedford is a
very rural looking town and civilian
impressions should try to reflect that.
Top hats and fancier clothing may be worn,
but please save it for Saturday evenings
festivities.
This event is
an invite only and I trust everyone with
their individual impressions. If you have
any questions, please email me at
speedybri@adelphia.net
Clothing: The event coordinators
reserve the right to determine what are
appropriate articles of clothing that may
be worn at this event.
Activities: For the men there will
be several small projects around town that
will need work on. The Military impression
for this event is also civilian clothing.
They will be doing some recruiting.
If male civilians at the event wish to
bring gear and a rifle and join the
military while at the event. please do so.
A CIVILIAN RIFLE IS PREFFERED. For
the women, There will be plenty of daily
life activities. Sewing, laundry,
etc...whatever period activity you would
like to do, please do. Both Men and women,
we will need volunteers to cook Saturday's
meal. There will be plenty of time to walk
through town and visit.
Housing: We will have use of
several houses in town. Civilian (and
family members in the military), will be
divided into family units, and assigned a
house. Housing will be divided up into
groups you are comfortable with. Pre
registration is needed for this to work.
PLEASE REGISTER IN TIME TO GET A HOUSING
ASSIGNMENT. Housing assignments will be
given out when you arrive and check in.
Other Buildings: Several stores
will be used by people to display
occupations common in 1861.
Tavern: We have use of the Tavern
for Saturday night. Refreshments will be
provided. It is hoped to have
entertainment in the evening.
Needed: cooking equipment.
